Our first tickets were for the second subdivision of the Women's Gymnastic Qualification, a group that included the American, Italian, Japanese, and British teams. I hadn't realized that gymnastics competitions are a bit like a four-ring circus: the gymnasts compete on all four apparatuses at the same time. Fortunately our seats were high up, allowing us to watch everything at once.
