Venice pt. 1
While Venice may not be sinking anymore, it is a city whose fragility and history is palpable in every slowly crumbling building. We stayed in the "Queen of the Adriatic" for two days, our last stop in Italy. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and, aside from the plague of pigeons that inhabit St. Mark's Square, the old stones couldn't have been more welcoming. Highlights included the Doge's Palace, the Rialto Bridge, Titian's and Canova's tombs, and best strawberries I've ever tasted.
